Summary
A trio of Shaw adaptations. Girls in their summer dresses, filmed on location in Greenwich Village, is a contemporary story centering on a couple's marital relationship and their conflicting views of monogamy. The Monument, which takes place in 1938, pits a bartender against his penny-pinching restaurant owner. The Man who married a French wife, set in 1960, details the effects of cultural difference and past secrets on a seemingly happy marriage
